Løkka Deli goes Bistro

Every traveler loves a really good pastrami sandwich, and since 2021 Løkka Deli have delivered mouthfuls of tasty sandwiches and garnered excellent reviews for its food. In 2024, exciting thing are happening in the evenings.

Nud & Anette, along with their team of sandwich enthusiasts, have continuously changed the menu since the opening, so you’ll always find something interesting at Løkka Deli. There are new creative combos, fresh produce, and it’s not all about sandwiches here. Suddenly, you’ll discover some Asian-inspired dishes or homemade sausages, alongside the classic US-style Reubens, Cubanos, and Tuna Melts.

Nud Dudia says, «Løkka Deli isn’t an authentic American ‘Deli’ – it’s a unique place with a unique menu that’s shaped by my experiences eating at diners and delis around New York, LA and throughout America since I was a child. Each sandwich we make is associated with a memory or experience I have had over the last 35 years.»

Last summer, Visit Løkka worked with the municipality to create outdoor seating in Markveien. The result is a pleasant strip of eateries with tables outside.

Deli by Day / Bistro by Night

Three years in, they are experimenting further. After testing the idea this winter, on Fridays and Saturdays, the deli transforms into a bistro in the evening. They will now offer a weekly changing menu inspired by some of their favorite neighborhood restaurants in London, New York, San Francisco, LA, and beyond. From Steak Frites and House Smoked Pastrami to Scotch Eggs and Latkes on the food front. Along with reasonably priced wines and cocktails, you are well covered! Løkka Deli is also introducing half sized cocktails – «handshakes» as one of the first venues in Norway.

Løkka Deli is one of our local favorites, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting the neighborhood!
